I prefer Snap to Read the best because I found it the easiest to use. It also had many different options. You can get rid of ads and other distracting content. You can also take notes as you read which may be helpful for many students. It also has the option of simplifying vocabulary.
I liked Rewordify the best because I think it is very practical to use in a classroom setting. If I see my students struggling with a text they are reading, or if I find a source that I know will be too advanced for them to read, I can use this resource to help my students to understand the content more effectively. I also liked Snap & Read for certain functions such as the remove distractions function, but I don't think it would be as practical for my own teaching.
I personally prefer Rewordify, mainly because I could picture myself using it in a classroom setting. I thought it was very easy to maneuver and user friendly, which means it would be more beneficial to my students. I had some issues when it came to Snap&Read and thought the website was not as user friendly. I think that if I were to get frustrated with this website, then my students are more likely to get frustrated with it and not get much out of it.
I liked the Snap & Read the best because it had multiple options to help the user. It allows students to use the color overlay tool to help keep track of where they are reading. There is also the word simplifier tool that finds words that are harder to understand and italicizes them and the user can click the word and it will give them a short definition or similar words.
I like Snap & Read the best, because I feel that it was the most user friendly option. I found it to be the easiest and most convenient to use, and I like how it's a chrome extension that can be easily accessed from any webpage. I think that students will find it very useful and easy.
I like Rewordify the best because it has a simple setup, is easy to navigate, and is most beneficial for students who need to read a text at their own pace and level.
I liked Snap and Read the best out of the three different resources. I think it provides the most options and can appeal to many different types of learners and different needs.
Of the three websites, I liked Snap&Read the most as it allows opportunities for students not to be distracted by ads when reading articles as well as outline and cite texts while reading it.
I like rewordify because it was simple and easy to use. You can use it for almost anything to make the text developmentally appropriate. Since my students are below grade level for the most part, I think they would benefit from this.
I liked Rewordify the best, because it was easy to navigate, and because it gave students the opportunity to read text at their level. If words are too difficult for them, they have the option to make the text simpler. This allows students to keep up with the other students in their grade by getting the same information with a lower reading level.
I like Mercury Reader the best. I like how it is also an extension when using Chrome, and can eliminate distractions for the reader. AS someone who is easily distracted, I like how it can block ads from appearing and make sure that video cannot play in the background. I also like how you can change the setting to a night mode so that the brightness is not straining on the eyes.
I liked Snap&Read the best because it is just a simple extension that the students can easily access no matter what website they are on. Students can make the websites less cluttered with unimportant information, create an outline, cite their website, and more with very simple steps. This is something that students of all reading levels and age groups can do.
In my opinion, the most effective tool was Snap and Read. I like how it is downloaded as a Google extension. Students have access to all the features in a side toolbar. Snap and Read not only simplifies difficult text, but also reads the text to the students. Students would have to be taught how to use the toolbar to make the most out of Snap and Read, but once they learn how to use it, I think it can be very useful in a classroom. I would use it in my classroom especially with students who are easily distracted while reading, and for students who have difficulty with vocabulary.
I liked the Snap and Read out of the tools. I find this tool be to helpful for anything age at any grade no matter what type of learner they seem to be.
I liked snap & read best. I liked how you could apply it to any webpage easily. The vocal word option where it put the word in italics and then gave the definition, I thought was a really great feature.
Rewordify was the best AT because it allowed students to see new vocabulary and allowed them to understand it in better ways for them. It was also very easy to understand for people who have never tried the module.
I really liked snap and read because there are so many options. The notes and sources tab was the best because students had a note section side by side with the text so that they could read while taking notes and didn't have to jump back and forth between pages. They also could create sources so that they knew where their notes were coming from.
I think the best website was Snap & Read. I think it is a great extension to have on the Chromebooks students use. A tool like this can help students highlight and look up things they aren't sure of. I think this extension was easy and students can even translate what they are reading
Out of the three websites, I liked Snap & Read the best. I think the extension is a great resource for students to have on the webpages they visit and it also includes a citation tool and a place for students to take notes on what they are reading. Students can access vocabulary resources and highlight any words that are unknown without having to redirect from the source they are working on.
I liked rewordify the most because it was super user-friendly. Students simple have to enter the text that is too difficult, and press the "rewordify text" button. I think this would be very useful for students to use in my classroom. It doesn't even have to apply to a Language Arts lesson. Students can have their computers open during any subject lesson and they can enter any words and phrases I use that they may not understand.
