KINDLE AND PROJECT GUTENBERG EXERCISE

If you don't have the Kindle app, go here

Note: you won't be able to download a Project Gutenberg file to the Kindle Cloud Reader on a desktop. Amazon doesn't always play nice with others; they don't allow you to add external content to the desktop cloud readers. Keep this in mind if you think it is a possible solution for your student.

EXERCISE DIRECTIONS

Do this then return to Nearpod.

  1. Download a Project Gutenberg book of your choosing and open it in the Kindle App. Click here to learn how to Open a Project Gutenberg file on your Kindle app.

  2. Pay close attention to the Kindle app's features. Try highlighting and bookmarking. Try looking up the definition of a word.

  3. What other settings can you alter? What implications does this have for your students?

  4. Once you have opened the book in the Kindle app, adjust the reading settings and answer the questions on the next Nearpod slide.

  5. See a comparison of eBooks on this page.
